Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Administrator within Ophthalmology at Whipps Cross Hospital.


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has good interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work on the day-to-day duties of scheduling services to meet capacity and demand fluctuations. They will ensure that service requirements are met and National RTT targets are adhered to.



The successful candidate will need to be a flexible team player who can manage a varied workload to meet set targets and changing deadlines. They must be able to work within a confidential environment and adhere to Information Governance procedures.



Computer literacy is essential as the successful candidate will be expected to input, extract and compile complex information from a number of booking and patient tracking systems. Full training will be provided on CRS and Medisoft.

The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role within the ophthalmology service, collaborating closely with the Failsafe Officers and various key stakeholders. Their primary responsibility involves supporting amin function and optimising the patient flow throughout the service.
This encompasses a range of tasks, including scheduling appointments, coordinating with medical staff, organising patient records, and ensuring seamless communication between departments. Additionally, they assist the Failsafe Officer in implementing protocols to guarantee patient safety and satisfaction. This collaborative effort ensures efficient operations and enhances the overall quality of care provided within the ophthalmology service.
