We are looking for inspirational SEND Teachers to join SAIL Academy in Salisbury this September.

Salary Range: MPS 1 - UPS 3, plus SEN allowance

About the role

As a member of our SEND teaching team at SAIL, you will:
-

Develop and deliver a personalised, holistic academic, social communication and life skills curriculum for our pupils with Autism.
Support pupils and their families to implement functional skills within the home and community.
Work using Autism-enablement structures and systems.
Create a learning experience that enables pupils to develop within our setting and that also maximises opportunities to develop skills for a 'safe, independent life'.

What we're looking for

The successful candidate for our SEND Teacher role will:
-

Be a child-centred practitioner who responds to the individual needs of each child.
Be a teacher with good knowledge and understanding of Autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with this need, for example, TEACCH.
Have a creative and flexible approach to teaching that builds success through challenge, personalisation, and innovation.
Have the confidence and skills to build positive relationships that help to break down barriers and build self-esteem.
Have a commitment to enabling all our pupils to overcome their challenges and achieve their potential both socially and academically.
Ideally have experience of primary, secondary (KS3) or specialist provision.

About the School

SAIL (Salisbury Academy for Inspiration Learners) is a day specialist provider of education in Salisbury, Wiltshire for children and young people aged from 4 to 19 years who have a diagnosis of Autism or an SEMH profile.

We are a growing school which opened in September 2023 and currently have around 80 students. Our aim is to build safe, independent lives for the Autistic and SEMH population through a process of understanding, support, and enablement. We personalise each child's curriculum, care, and therapeutic package to support them to achieve and experience success and independence.

About the Trust

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.
