Protocol Education are currently working with a lovely mainstream school in Manor Park, Newham who are looking for a passionate SEN assistant to work with children in their nursery.

The children you will be working with will often be undiagnosed, so as part of your role you will be responsible for tracking progress, logging daily activity and feeding back to the SENDCO and parents.

Our partner school are looking for a TA who is pro-active, keen to learn and able to contribue to the overall success of the setting.

This is a full-time, term time only role.

Early Years experience is vital for this role.

Job Duties:
- Provide support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a nursery setting
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for SEN students
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with personal care and medical needs as required
- Collaborate with other staff members and parents to ensure the best possible support for SEN students

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Education
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Education

Experience:
- Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid Certification
- Mental Health First Aid Training

Working Conditions:
- Full-time hours during nursery operating hours
- Work in a nursery setting with children with special educational needs
- Potential exposure to personal care and medical needs of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
