Summary

Primary Teaching Assistant

Area: Northampton (NN13)

Salary: £90-£100 p/day

Hours of work: 35 hours p/week

Start date: Immediately

Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a school situated in the centre of Northampton. Experience working in a school setting is essential and experience with SEND pupils is favourable.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
- Be able to supply school or teaching references

Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
- Supporting children during lessons/school activities
- Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
- Managing difficult behaviours
- Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
- Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
