Summary

We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to join the research group led by Dr Anestis Tsakiridis. The successful applicant will provide support for routine human embryonic stem cell (hESC) culture and differentiation, preparation of samples and analysis. General lab management duties will also be required. This work is part of a Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR)-funded project aiming to establish a resource of hESC lines carrying defined sets of inducible tumour-associated genetic lesions that are relevant to a wide range of paediatric and adult cancers. Applicants must have a strong background in stem cell/developmental biology and experience with the following techniques: cell culture, RNA isolation; quantitative real time PCR; immunostaining; fluorescence/confocal microscopy; flow cytometry.
