Summary


We are currently recruiting for a full time Catering Assistant to work within our busy catering department. You will be working in the kitchen assisting with the preparation, service and delivery of patient meals, as well as in our retail café serving staff and visitors to the hospital throughout the day.

We operate a shift system with the early shift starting at 7am – 3pm and the late shift at 11-45am –7-45 pm. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

You will have some previous catering experience and be able to demonstrate good communication and customer service skills. You will be able to show flexibility in your approach to work and have the ability to think on your feet.







Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.
