Summary


Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of Acute (mainly hospital-based) health services, serving residents of Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, and surrounding areas including Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and parts of north-east Sussex; and services, such as Oncology and Ophthalmology, across a wider area.

The Trust has two main hospital sites, the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, and Maidstone Hospital. This post is based at Maidstone Hospital, however,the role will see the post holder frequently work at other sites within the county, depending on demand. Therefore, the post holder will not always be based at Maidstone Hospital and the ability to drive and have your own vehicle is a requirement for this role.

We require an experienced Senior IT Support engineer who will be able to make an immediate impact to the team.

Your duties will include:
• The day to day second line resolution of incidents, service requests and effecting approved changes.
• Hands on IT technical support via face to face, remote access and phone, supporting the MTW IT estate and employees.
• Configuration, deployment and maintenance of desktop PCs, laptops and tablets (iOS and Android).
• Configuration, support and maintenance of mobile and audio-visual technology.
• Updating of incident and request tickets within the Service Management tool.
• Documentation of procedures.
• Project work as required.
• Compliance with operational processes (e.g. Incident Management, Request Management, Major Incident Management).
• Network configuration as required including port patching and fault diagnosis.
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on shift between 8am-6pm.
• Travel – you will be required to travel between our four main sites as well as to our satellite sites around Kent and Surrey.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.
