Summary

Morgan Hunt are working with a social housing provider, who are currently looking for a Compliance Building Surveyor to join their Property Services Team

You will be responsible for ensuring the organisations assets, including housing stock and buildings, are safe, clean, and compliant. This role involves supervising repairs, conducting condition surveys, managing compliance with statutory regulations, and providing technical advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage repair and renewal works for Council properties.
  • Conduct condition surveys for residential and non-residential properties.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for construction works.
  • Manage contracts for planned and cyclical works, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Support compliance areas such as fire safety, asbestos management, and water safety.
  • Provide technical advice to Council teams and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.

About you

  • Degree or vocational qualification in a construction-related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in building surveying.
  • Professional Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of property-related compliance and building services.
  • Proficiency in CAD drawing, project procurement, and contract management.
  • Full driving license and use of a car.
