Summary

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join our large, friendly and highly successful Science Department. Ideally, the successful applicant will have suitable qualifications and / or knowledge / experience in the Biological Sciences to A Level.
The post holder will be required to work during term time, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm. They may also be required to work on staff training (TED) days, with these additional hours being claimed for via timesheets.

Preparing for and clearing away after practical classes
Preparing necessary solutions
Photocopying materials as required
Assisting students and teaching staff during practical classes
Storekeeping duties, including maintaining preparation areas, storage rooms and teaching areas in a clean & tidy condition
Caring for animals, insects & plants kept by the department
