Summary
KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a General Operative who must have a CounterBalance FLT License for our client based in Ruabon.
As a General Operative you will be working 5 out of 7 days a week, with the working hours 07:30- 17:00.
The rate of pay as a General Operative is:
• £14.00 p/h
Duties and responsibilities as a General Operative are:
• Inspection and Identification: Assess train undersides for damage, rust, and chips, accurately identifying areas needing repair.
• Cleaning and Repair: Perform thorough cleaning and repair tasks, including sandblasting heavily rusted components.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team of 4, coordinating efforts to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
• Equipment Handling: Utilise a Forklift Truck (FLT) Counterbalance to move items around the yard as needed. – Must have an in date license
The ideal candidate for a General Operative would need:
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar cleaning and maintenance role, particularly in the railway industry, is preferred but not essential.
• Skills: Proficiency in identifying and repairing rust and damage, with strong sandblasting skills.
• Licenses: Must hold a valid FLT Counterbalance license.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Comfort with working in various weather conditions and environments.
