Summary
Step Teachers are working closely with a "Good" Ofsted-rated Primary School in Enfield to find a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception student with ASD. This school is eager to find a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with extensive experience working with students with severe ASD, this is a full-time role to provide consistency for the student.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will:- Make a positive impact on your key student
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities
- Support the development of children’s language and communication skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and provide pastoral support when required
- Provide feedback to parents/carers' on their child's progress and achievements
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant and/or Special Educational Needs qualification
- Recent experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Primary School
- Experience working with students with severe ASD
- Familiarity with the mainstream EYFS and primary curriculum
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
