Summary
The growth of Empower Youth Zones has created an exciting opportunity to establish 2x new Senior Leadership Roles within the charity. We are now looking for 2x Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of both HideOut Youth Zone and Salford Youth Zone (due to open in 2025)
As a member of the Leadership team, the Directors of Operations will work closely with Empower’s CEO, Director of Fundraising and Communications and Senior Finance Manager, to ensure the Charity delivers its vision and strategic objectives.
They will specifically drive the development and execution of HideOut and Salford Youth Zone’s operational plans and the development of the annual business plans. They will do this by supporting, leading and motivating the Operational Leadership Teams, taking responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of the internal operations of the Youth Zones including both the back office, administrative functions and the offer to young people and from time-to-time deputising for the Chief Executive Officer, while they work to extend and further develop project work, by engaging with a wider set of external stakeholders, collaborators and partners.
In addition to the Youth Zone’s day-to-day operations, the DOOs will also take lead responsibility for Empower’s Facilities and Buildings Management and People and Culture portfolios across both youth zones, inclusive of Volunteering and workforce development
