Are you a passionate and motivated Psychology graduate with a genuine desire to support children with special education needs in a primary school setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the support staff team at a fantastic primary school in the Harrow area.
This exciting graduate role starts in September, working throughout the academic year, with the potential for the right candidate to progress onto a permanent contract with the school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to children with special education needs, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to create tailored learning plans.
- Implement interventions to address behavioural challenges and enhance learning outcomes.
- Conduct assessments to monitor progress and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
- Deliver one-on-one and small group sessions to develop essential skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
- Prior experience in special education or a similar setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special education needs.
