Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated pharmacist to lead our pharmacy service to the National Spinal Injuries Centre. You will play a pivotal role in leading, managing and further developing the pharmacy service provided to the NSIC and the team currently involved providing this service. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise an a specialist role where there are complex patients with unique needs.

Responsible for leading, managing, delivering, planning and developing the clinical pharmacy services to the National Spinal Injuries Centre.
• To provide a consistently high pharmaceutical service to patients in line with the Trust corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
• To provide leadership and training of the team that delivers this service to ensure service provided is to high standards.
• To manage medicine related risks and ensure Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation is complied with within the service
• To be a senior member of the Pharmacy department.
• To appraise, develop and performance manage junior members of the pharmacy team.
• To support the Trust financial objectives by providing financial analysis and advice in relation to medicines use
• To develop guidelines and treatment protocols as required
