Summary
Warehouse Assistant | Cambridge | Full time, Permanent | £30,000 – OTE depending on experience.
Our client has gone from humble beginnings in 1985, and they have grown and developed into the market leading brand management and distribution business they are today. The company focus solely on premium brands within the small domestic appliance, air treatment and floorcare categories.
This role is a key part of the wider Warehouse team, you will be required to work both individually and within a larger team. Throughout the day the requirements will vary from picking, packing, and shipping domestic orders. The role will ensure the smooth running of the operations and ensure all customer demands are met in the most professional and efficient manner.
Working Hours:
3-week rotating shift pattern as follows:
Week 1: 07:00 until 15:00 - Monday to Friday
Week 2: 09:00 until 17:00 - Monday to Thursday, 08:00 until 16:00 – Saturday
Week 3: 13:00 until 21:00 - Monday to Friday
Are you the right person for the job?
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
• Good timekeeping and organisational skills
• A capable mindset, being able to carry out high intensity teamwork
• Accurate counting abilities and a clear capability of checking different dates and lines on incoming and outgoing products
• The ability to follow clear instruction
• A motivated and hard-working attitude
• The ability to work in a warehouse environment individually or as part of a larger team
What will your role look like?
• Moving merchandise from one place to another using manual pallet trucks
• Unloading and loading vehicles
• Compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards
• Picking and packing goods to a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining our high standards
• Performing accurate goods in checks and put away
• Labelling packaging, and products, unpacking and repacking goods, without damage.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary
• In addition, floor staff must maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse floor, racking areas
