An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist, to join a vibrant integrated health and social care Community Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the role of an Occupational Therapist within the older adult CMHT multidisciplinary team, based at Claire House in Wigan undertaking Occupational therapy assessments and specific OT work, contributing to the development of the occupational therapy service and providing advice to colleagues.

The post holder will be expected to cover the duty rota providing quality first line core assessments and work proactively in forging professional working relationships with multi-agencies.

You will be welcomed into a supportive, creative and motivated multidisciplinary team that has a strong respect for and commitment to Occupational Therapy and practice development. You will receive regular professional, clinical and managerial supervision and developmental appraisal thus enhancing your current practise and future career prospects. There are regular Allied Health Professional Continued Professional Development Days and opportunities to actively contribute to and influence the development of the Occupational Therapy Service.

The post holder will act as an Occupational therapist for the Later Life & Memory Service. They will carry out evidence based Occupational Therapy assessments in addition to the Initial Core Assessments, including standardised assessments and patient reviews. They will be delivering diagnosis of dementia and providing Post Diagnostic treatment and support including groups.

They will participate in the teams duty rota.
