Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in hospitals, clinics, or residential care facilities.
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility issues to move around safely, including transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
Medication Assistance: Assist with medication administration under the direction and supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
Patient Monitoring: Regularly observe and report changes in patient’s physical or mental condition to healthcare professionals.
Patient Transport: Transport patients to and from appointments, procedures, or tests within the healthcare facility.
Patient Comfort: Ensure patients are comfortable and well-cared for by assisting with positioning, comfort measures, and emotional support.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean and organized, including changing linens and assisting with basic housekeeping tasks.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care activities, including vital signs, treatments, and observations.
Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred but not required.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
Willingness to undergo relevant training and certification as required by the employer.
