Hays' client is an exciting fintech organisation based in Edinburgh. The team is currently looking for an experienced performance tester to join their established team and contribute to the further development of existing services.
The role consists of the following responsibilities:

  • Drive performance testing
  • Design and executing tests to validate the response time, throughput, and scalability of a system under varying load conditions.
  • Help update and evolve performance test frameworks, guidelines, and standards for consistent practice
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting performance test results
  • Support and mentoring test team
  • Working to Agile methodologies


What you'll need to succeed
Technical Skill Requirements
Essential:

  • Strong performance testing grounding with experience developing and implementing performance test strategies
  • Experience in performance, load and stress testing
  • Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as Loadrunner, Performance Center, Gatling, & JMeter.
  • Adept in Agile delivery methods
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies, preferably AWS
  • Able to understand the business requirements and to identify test scenarios to demonstrate these have been achieved.

Desirable:

  • Experience of using Loadrunner Cloud is advantageous.
  • Experience with open-source tools in addition to Loadrunner would also be advantageous.


Business / People Skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation / demonstration skills are essential
  • Capable of working in a small team environment, as well as having the drive to work on an individual basis are essential skills
