Summary

Location: Newham, East London Start Date: May 2024This stimulating and caring environment is seeking the expertise of a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to start in September on a full-time basis for staff to support the organic growth they are seeing.
The newly purpose-built facilities accommodate children aged three months to five years old. They understand that the settling in process can be an emotional time for parents/carers and their children and are there to support them in any way they can. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a driven team that support the organic growth of every child.
The successful applicant must be of real quality and have a true passion for childcare. As well as having a true understanding that each child is unique and therefore strive to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Duties

  • Reading stories and helping children learn number skills.
  • Observe children's progress and keep records to share with parents.
  • Working to Early Years Foundation Stage standards on child learning.
  • Making sure children are safe and reporting any concerns.
  • Feeding and changing babies and supervising meals of older children.
  • Advising the Nursery Manager about any concerns relating to a child or parent while respecting confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhering to the nursery's policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements relating to child care.
  • Maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Creating fun and educational activities for the children under their care.
  • Being a 'key person' to a small group of children and building positive relationships with them.
  • Monitoring children's progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets.
  • Planning and creating activities that keep children engaged throughout the day.
  • Enabling children to become more independent.


Requirements

  • Level 2/3 Diploma in Childcare or Health and Social Care or any relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification (an NVQ or NCFE CACHE)
  • Enthusiasm in aiding in the development of young children
  • Be innovative and creative
  • Display great patience and interest
  • Be caring and kind in nature
