Summary

Your New Role
Hays are supporting a large, reputable mainstream secondary school recruiting their new Teacher of History to join a thriving and successful curriculum area. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced and early career teachers who are eager to be a part of an organisation that seeks to secure the very highest educational standards for students, and someone who is committed, passionate, and has the ability to teach across the full range of age and ability.
The History department is both innovative and supportive, with a history of strong results at KS4 and KS5, focused on inspiring children to reflect, learn and achieve.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging history lessons to students.
  • Assess and record student progress and provide feedback to enhance student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curriculum themes and activities.
  • Participate in school events and staff meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers with potential TLR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
