Summary

Your new role
An Outstanding SEN school for ages 5-18 in Rugby, is looking for full-time SEN Teaching Assistants. There is a great community and ethos around the school, and they are looking for proactive Teaching Assistants who will be engaged and flexible team players, supporting children with a wide range of needs including sensory impairments, physical disabilities, autism, and severe/ complex learning difficulties.The role would be a combination of supporting small class sizes of 6 - 9 children and 1:1 work, therefore being flexible and active is key. The school offers a bespoke pathway curriculum, with a wide range of expressive arts, physical education and outdoor opportunities designed to help pupils develop new skills and interests, including in house Art Therapy!

Pay can be up to £13.50 a hour, depending on experience and if you can impress during a paid trial, which the school is more than happy to arrange to give you a real taste. The school's hours for this role are 8:30am - 03:30pm.What you'll need to succeedHave experience or a passion for working with children with SENBe flexible, proactive and patientBe nurturing and caring in your approachesBe able to communicate effectively within a teamBe open to providing personal careHave a Background in Education, Care, social care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
