Summary
What is the role?
Subsea7 are looking for a Developer to join the Pipeline Group (PG) at our Sutton, London office on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working as part of the digitalisation team supporting the development of digital tools to improve the ways of working of the PG installation engineering department. As a developer you will have an integral part in enhancing and expanding our suite of in-house engineering tools, incorporating them into our cloud-based platform. You will work closely with the PG engineering teams alongside engineers and developers.
PG supports Subsea7’s pipelay projects globally and our analysis engineers play an integral part in finding solutions to complex engineering problems. Our engineers are recognised for their expertise and can oversee specific critical subjects either on business improvement, or projects.
What will your responsibilities involve?
The Developer will undertake a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, however some of the expected key responsibilities however will be:
Develop in-house engineering tools, making use of internal digital technology
Maintain and update existing in-house engineering tools
Maintain a high level of tool development quality, and support the improvement of ways of working
Perform knowledge sharing and become part of the digital community within PG installation engineering and the wider Subsea7 company
Support the promotion of digitalisation activities to the PG installation engineering team, increasing awareness of tools and capabilities
Keep up to date with the industry and identify any applicable digital opportunities for PG Installation Engineering and Subsea7

Degree qualified in a relevant Computer Science or similar subject.
Relevant experience in a software development role
A passionate problem solver, driven to find innovative solutions to challenges using digital techniques and software’s such as Python, Azure DevOps, GIT, etc.
Able to demonstrate critical thinking and a positive approach to work
A good level of interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish relationships and communicate across all levels of stakeholders both internal and external, up to the highest levels.
