Summary


Advanced Clinical Practitioner: Breast Surgery

We are seeing a enthusiastic and dymamic indicidual to join our well established and supportive team at Barts NHS Turst. As a Breast ANP you be working across diagnostic clinics and supporting those who have completed their breast disease treatment in the stratified follow up services.

The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing a high quality, safe and supportive clinical service to those with both malignant and benign breast disease. They will utlise high levels of decision making and clinical judgement. Ensure patients health needs are met through the provision of the diagnosis and management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with patients and their families.



The post holder has responsibility for providing clinical, managerial and professional leadership in the running of the service and influencing the future service delivery and nursing strategy. They will be accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patient and ensuring safe effective person centered care. The ACP will be involved in audit, research, education and in developing multi-professional guidelines and protocols. They will also be responsible for improving the accuracy of electronic patient records.



The post holder may have line management responsibilities for the Trainee ACPs, and will help to ensure they receive the necessary support and supervision to successfully complete their training to the required standard. The post holder will work under the supervision of the nominated Consultants of the Week, and will be line managed by the Senior Nurse for Cancer.

The post holder might be required to work across the Trust at any time throughout the duration of his/her contract. This may entail travel and working at different hospital sites.
