Summary

Do you have experience working with children who have SEN or any transferable skills, such as; care, support work, social services, ambulance, police force, military, residential care, sports coaching etc.

We are working with our partner school to recruit Learning Support assistants on a full time basis, to start as soon as possible OR in September 2024. The right candidate will be are looking for passionate about education and supporting young peopole with special educational needs. You don't need to have professional experience but if you have personal experience or similar experience we would love to hear from you as training can be provided. This particular SEN school caters for children with complex needs and is based in the North of Cambridge.

About the role:
- Sociable hours, Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm (these hours may vary by 45 minutes)
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with classroom activities aand support the teachers to implement pupils education health care plans.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
- Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students.
- The school offer temporary to permanent placements for those interested.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous personal or professional experience working with SEN children or a similar setting
- Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
- Have the passion and drive to work with children - MUST
- Able to use own initiative to get involved - MUST
- Provide a minimum of 24 months in referencing and suitable documentation
