Summary


To provide an efficient, effective, and customer-focused reception and clerical service for all patients attending the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) Outpatient, Day Unit, and Inpatient Departments, in both Haematology and Oncology. The post holder will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alongside the Nursing Staff, Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other clerical staff within the centre, throughout the Trust, and at various peripheral sites.

To prepare case notes for each patient attendance, including any required results or investigations, and ensure all required information is present for the patient’s appointment or admission.
• To provide full reception service, including greeting patients, checking patient details are correct and up to date on the Medway Administration System, dealing with transport enquiries, and booking follow up appointments. To be the point of contact for patients, carers, colleagues, other departments, and external agencies, and to handle queries proactively.
