We are currently looking for a Production Engineer to join our team at Tunstead, Buxton.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Production Engineer, reporting to the Production Manager this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership to drive themselves, the team and the plant forward. You will also be responsible for:

  • Looking after areas of the plant, developing and coaching the production team
  • Diagnosing and repairing plant issues
  • Supervising contractors
  • Contributing towards and delivering projects and shutdowns
  • Leading cross functional meetings
  • Ensuring safe operations and all plant and business objectives are delivered
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Production Engineer you will have experience of:

  • Knowledge of the cement making process
  • Experience in using computerised systems
  • Proven record of working effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Proven record of working effectively within a team
  • IT Literate, particularly SAP and Microsoft applications
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • An ability to demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to attend training
  • Must be meticulous and pay attention to detail
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritise decisions and propose actions
  • Be able to show good report writing skills concisely
  • Effective communicator at all level
