Summary



Job Overview :::We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Painter / Decorator to joint our growing technical team. As a Painter / Decorator, you will play a key role in the delivery of our lifecycle programme alongside supporting our technicians to close out reactive work orders throughout the clients offices and buildings across a medium to large single site.

Main Duties Carry out filling and repairs to internal and external building fabric across the clients site to the highest standards. Complete internal and external redecoration works, applying a variety of products and paint finishes.mErecting access equipment as required, with appropriate training and all necessary access plant and temporary screening as and when required to protect the environment and people. monitor decorating material stock and request new stock as required, ensure all works are carried out within the approved budget and all painting and decorating equipment is best utilised and kept clean and reused.

Health & Safety: Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times. Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received. Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety matters.

What we are looking for:::We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification or have a minimum of 5 years checkable experience in Painting / Decorating. Having completed a recognised apprentiship is advantages but not essential.Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.Have a proactive approach to work, being organised, confident and self motivated to achieve targets.Able to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescales.Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional/remedial works.Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems.Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.Experience of working within a customer focused environment.Flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.Must hold a full UK driver's license
