About the Role




* Split over 2 idyllic cottages, the people you'll support at Burton Cottages are energetic and love activities such as baking,
painting, or learning to play a new instrument as well as other activities out in the local community.
* As their senior support worker, you will work within a team or on a 1-1 basis to support those living in the service to engage
in these activities to offer them an enriching and enjoyable day.

* You'll care for those with complex support needs who can often display behaviours that some may find challenging.
* It is important that you are confident and familiar with managing behaviours of concern and understand and are passionate about
using positive person-centred approaches to reduce these behaviours and enhance quality of life.
* You'll also support the management team by leading shifts, acting as a go to for any shift queries from the staff team and
carrying out all typical senior responsibilities such as medication administration, care plan reviews and shift report
writing.4




* Shift times are split across Early (7.15am - 3pm) and Late (2.45pm - 9.45pm) shifts and cover Monday - Sunday.
* This is a Full-Time post so the contract is for 40 hours per week.
* Flexible rota's allow us to offer particular days / shifts if you have other commitments - don't hesitate to ask if you have
limited availability to work!




About You




* As a senior support worker, you should have a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it.

* You will be experienced in leading a team whilst supporting someone in a professional setting, or have skills learned from
other professional roles that can transfer to this setting.
* You'll be available to cover 40 hours worth of early and / or late shifts per week

* Due to the nature of the people we support, there are times when behaviours of concern arise so it is vital that you are used
to staying calm in a challenging situation whilst remaining positive and professional.

* Being a driver is desirable but not essential
