This is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-expanding staff team within Aspens.




This is a role working across both our children’s and specialist support services to provide a positive behaviour support (PBS)
model to engage young people who have complex needs, which inhibit them from accessing school or college, resulting in increased
isolation and withdrawal from community and group-based activities.




As a Youth Engagement Worker you will be required work in a variety of settings to develop, plan and participate in programmes of
work with parents/carers, adults, young people and children. This may include work in educational, community or residential
setting.




About You:




As a Youth Engagement Worker at Aspens you should have previous experience working or volunteering with children and young people
with autism, learning disabilities and other complex mental health concerns or behavioural concerns.




The ideal candidate will also have an A-Level equivalent in Social Sciences along with a L3 equivalent in Health and Social Care
or Child Care.




The role involves working with vulnerable young people and their families both at home and in the community, so experience of
safeguarding and understanding of safeguarding processes is very important.




It would also be beneficial to have some experience and understanding of the delivery of positive behaviour support models and the
ability to support those who have historically struggled to engage with services.




The role involves travel in the local area and so it is essential that you hold a full, clean driving licence, have access to your
own vehicle and are happy to travel as part of your role.
