Commercial Director - IGL

Salary: to £100,000 DOE plus Car/Allowance, Bonus and package

Location: based in Kettering with national coverage and a hybrid working model

About the Role

A great fit for a seasoned professional with a project background and a knack for navigating frameworks like JCT and NEC along
with a utilities background and a passion for driving commercial success via our multi utility asset adoption agreements. In this
pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in shaping our long-term commercial health and spearheading our growth initiatives. From
managing financial activities to overseeing projects and improving processes, you'll be at the heart of our success story.

* Strategic Leadership: Shape and manage the business alongside senior leadership, assisting in long-term decision-making.
* Financial Strategy: Ensure the organization's financial strategy aligns with short and long-term health, maintaining agility.
* Annual Planning: Lead the annual planning and budgeting process.
* Departmental Management: Manage and develop department heads to uphold best practices.
* Financial Oversight: Oversee monthly accounts, forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliation to meet reporting deadlines.
* Business Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand into new markets and contribute to strategic growth.
* Commercial Performance: Direct and monitor commercial activities and team performance.
* Project Valuation: Evaluate work in progress for 750+ projects in accordance with revenue recognition policies.
* Efficiency Reviews: Conduct reviews and implement actions to enhance business efficiency.
* Collaboration and Integration: Foster effective liaison between commercial activities and other departments, encouraging
understanding of the financial model among peers and management.

What You'll Need

* A strong commercial background with top-notch forecasting and budgeting skills.
* Familiarity with JCT and NEC frameworks
* Previous multi utilities experience working for Independent Connections Providers (ICP’s) or Independent Distribution Network
Operators (IDNO’s)
* Experience in project-based environments – running project accounting and ensuring records and revenue recognition are
exemplary for multiple small projects and major projects as part of wider works programs.
* Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and regulations.
* Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Leadership prowess and people skills
* Excels in commercial negotiation and demonstrates a proven track record in to managing utility network material and labour
supply chain to ensure competitiveness.
* Expert knowledge of current policies and procedures relating to utility installations.
* Experience in operating at board level and driving business strategy.
