Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours, 7.30am – 4pm

Due to a retirement within the business we are currently recruiting for a Production Scheduler for a family run Manufacturer who are currently celebrating their 70th year in business. The company currently employ 170 staff across the production & office functions.

With over 40 years operating from their current site in Blandford, the company have expanded their premises over this time to meet business demands and requirements that are seeing the company continually grow.

With their products ‘made in Britain’ they are proud to celebrate their British Heritage.

The company manufacture and distribute medical furniture & equipment for a varied customer base ranging from the public sector such as the NHS, Military & Local Government through to Pharmacies, Private Hospitals & Nursing Homes.

Within this role you will be undertaking production scheduling, ensuring that the schedule is created, issued & followed in a manner that achieves the most efficiency for the company production methods & strives to achieve customer satisfaction, particularly on delivery dates.

Key duties will include;

• Undertaking scheduling for the production
• Working with the Production Manager to ensure that all manufacturing teams are fully set up and maintaining all company and compliance documentation
• Liaising with the Sales Department to ensure that the orderbook is managed to meet the lead times given
• Development of the ERP system to improve production processes.
• Assist the Production Team in the implementation projects as required.
• Assist the Production Team on reporting of production activities
• Assist the Production Team in ensuring that the relevant resources are available to achieve delivery of the production schedule, including tooling, instructions, parts, materials, consumables, packaging & part-finished products.
• Assist the department in achieving on-time-in-full delivery to all customers, leading all production, encompassing agreed capital & process development projects & provision of technical knowledge.

We would like our ideal candidate to possess:

• Previous experience of production scheduling / planning
• Experience of working within a manufacturing / engineering environment
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
• PC literate with experience of Microsoft Excel & ERP systems
• Excellent organisation skills
