Summary
This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week.
Day to day duties of the role
Facilitate use of technology to enhance learning and support
Maintain and enquiry service, and technology support
Develop working relationships, liaising regularly with curriculum staff, prison and other partners to ensure LLRC meets needs
Extend learning and literacy beyond classroom to support reading and learning experiences across the prison
Required skills and qualifications
Good level of technical ability and competent user of technology
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
Strong organisation and time management skills
About HMP Five Wells
In partnership with G4S, RESTART (part of the Weston College Group) has been awarded the prestigious contract to establish the education department in the newly built state-of-the-art prison, HMP Five Wells. RESTART provides exceptional opportunities for residents to gain nationally recognised qualifications, in preparation for securing purposeful employment upon release.
HMP Five Wells is a privately run category C men's prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. At full capacity the prison can house 1,680 residents, making it one of the largest prisons in the UK.
The education department offers a range of Academic, Vocational and Creative courses to support residents with their future career aspirations.
