Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our B5 Occupational Therapy (OT) rotation in our Chichester/Bognor area.The mixed rotational scheme offers both physical and mental health rotations through a partnership between Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. Each rotation lasts 6 months and is a great opportunity to develop skills and competencies beyond graduate level.These posts are open to new graduates, those due to qualify soon, those wishing to return to practice and more experienced OTs who want to broaden their clinical skills in a variety of specialities.

We are looking for highly motivated applicants with excellent communication skills and a drive for clinical excellence.

Main duties of the job

The Chichester/Bognor rotation includes:
• Working Age Acute Mental Health - Acute inpatient service based at Oaklands Hospital in Chichester. Great opportunities for developing your assessment and individual and group intervention skills.
• In-patient Mental Health Rehabilitation -Based at Connolly House rehabilitation unit in Chichester. An amazing opportunity to work alongside people who have experienced psychosis and use your OT skills to support recovery and community participation.
• Community Therapy Team - Working closely with other members of the MDT to provide holistic rehabilitation in people's homes following hospital admission or to reduce the risk of hospital admission. The large, friendly community team is based at Bicentenial House in Chichester.
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Services - Rehabilitation on the wards in the Intermediate Care Unit at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital. Through individual and group work facilitating intensive rehabilitation to support people safely back to their own homes or their place of choice.
