Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Care Learning Support Technician to join our team.
Location: Lackham, Wiltshire
Salary: £22,824 rising to £23,302 per annum (Professional Services Grade 4 & 4a)
Job Type: Full - Time, (37 Hours PW, 52 weeks), Fixed Term until 20/12/24

Animal Care Learning Support Technician - The Role:
Do you have a passion within animal care and welfare? We are looking for someone to maintain our range of animals and facilities at the Lackham Animal Centre and to guide and support students.
Our animals are fundamental to our teaching quality and to our student progression; and you as a successful technician can be a part of that journey.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience within an educational environment, with further training available we can support your career progression.
Animal Care Learning Support Technician - You
You will be pro-active, passionate and motivated to support our animal care provision, helping our learners achieve by assisting our lecturers and preparing the workplace. The successful candidate will have recent relevant experience of the animal care industry and hold good knowledge of animal care and welfare.
The successful candidate will be passionate, confident and have industry experience working with a range of animals, working to high industry standards to meet animal welfare needs.
You will have the following qualifications:
* Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Level 3 animal related qualification or willingness to work towards
* Industry experience working with a wide range of animals, such as small mammals, reptiles, primates, and hoof stock etc.
