Estates Stores Officer
Department: Estates
Band 3: £22,816 - £24,336 plus R&R of 10% (£2,281.60 – £2,433.60)
Hours: 37.5 per week Full-time, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
The Estates Maintenance Team encourage you to make an application if the following applies to you:
• To be responsible for the procurement of electrical, mechanical, building and hospital equipment parts and equipment. Finding alternative suppliers for products not covered by existing contracts, negotiating availability, price, and delivery. Working with supervisory staff, advising on delivery and availability of stock, and ensuring standard operating procedures are in place and adhered to.
• Manage and maintain stock control system.
• The role will also include the routine manual handling of goods and packages inside and outside of the store areas.
• To work as Maintenance Assistant for short periods as required.
• To work within Works Office to assist for short periods as required

• To undertake the procurement function and be responsible for stock control for the Estates Department, with particular relevance to the needs and procedures of an NHS Estates Stores.
• Liaise with suppliers to source products, and negotiate alternatives, which may be specialist bespoke items for patient and non-patient equipment.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, delivery notes, schedules and invoices to resolve any discrepancies.
• To develop and maintain stock control systems, including routine and ad hoc reports. Use and experience of dedicated Estates stock control/reporting system.
• Maintain the security of stock at all times.
• To manage the receipt, storage and issue of Estates stock.
• To supervise any staff carrying out duties within the Estates store areas.
• Ensure that store areas are maintained and managed in a clean, organised, and safe manner, complying at all times with Health and Safety standards.
• To work as Maintenance Assistant as required for short periods of time.
• To work and assist within Works Office as required.
