£29,148 - £31,265 pro rata / £15.97 - £17.13 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Applications are invited for this full-time vacancy within the Corporate Finance Section for a Finance Officer.

The postholder will work within a busy team supporting the functions of the Corporate Finance Section. The duties of the post includes the processing, validation and reporting of financial information.

You will be an effective team member and will be experienced in managing your own workload. You will deal with financial queries from stakeholders both within and out with the Council, therefore experience of dealing with people is essential.

We are looking for someone who is educated to SVQ level 2 or equivalent, or where the essential qualification is not held, a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a finance role is essential.

You should have good numerical, communication and organisational skills and have experience of working with finance systems.

This post is subject to Basic Disclosure Scotland clearance.
