Summary
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the resources within Herefordshire and Worcestershire L&D Service are maximised and will also have responsibility for the day to day and strategic management of the L&D Model. The post holder will provide leadership, professional supervision & expertise when assessing vulnerabilities / complex needs within the Criminal Justice System; including expertise of the Mental Health Act (Civil / Forensic Sections). There is an expectation that all work is underpinned by theoretical and practice knowledge, and delivered to a high standard in line with statutory procedures and professional frameworks. All aspects of the post may involve moderate physical effort: it will involve frequent mental effort with exposure to highly emotional circumstances and processing complex and contentious information in a sensitive manner. The post holder will be responsible for providing advice / support to L&D Practitioners. Where required, post holder will be required to complete specialist assessment and interventions to people with a diverse range of needs coming into contact with the Criminal Justice System via the Liaison and Diversion service. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting / advising colleagues regarding complex needs. The post holder will also be expected to be available for consultation, support and clinical supervision to other health and social care professionals working within Liaison and Diversion Team.
