Summary
Please see attached Job Description for full details The post will involve work across sites at South Tyneside District Hospital and Sunderland Royal Hospital. The post is suitable for doctors who have completed IMT training (or equivalent). It would be particularly suitable for doctors who may wish to go on to apply for higher training in nephrology. Opportunities will be available to participate in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and simulation training. There are also opportunities to participate in research, quality improvement processes and to gain experience in management and clinical leadership depending on interests and experience. On-call commitments may vary according to the post and the requirements/experience of the post holder. The post is for a minimum of six months with options to extend by mutual agreement. This posts is not recognized for training by the Postgraduate Dean. Although the post is not recognized for training, trainees will be allocated to a Clinical Supervisor and have the opportunity for supervised learning and feedback. They will also have access to department training, meetings and local teaching.
