Summary
Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities Provide professional nursing leadership, strategic direction, expert consultancy on all aspects of clinical nursing practice for the care of individuals of any age presenting to the First Response Service (FRS) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Demonstrate highly advanced clinical skills in the triage, assessment, treatment and follow-up of adults in mental health crisis and assessment services. This will include overseeing patient care and onward referrals to ensure they are accepted by the appropriate services and providing crisis intervention in the interim. Prescribe and titrate agreed medications and offer medication advice to GPs for patients in a mental heath crisis. Take a lead in developing clinical skills of FRS colleagues. Provide clinical advice on triage, assessment, treatment, risk mitigation and management and care planning. Provide expert nursing / AHP practice, knowledge, training and experience in relation to adult mental health care, ensuring and promoting credibility with relevant stakeholders Provide expert nursing / AHP practice in relation to direct and indirect patient care. Promotion of inter-agency and collaborative working is an essential component of the post.
