Summary
A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a construction environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide predictable, reliable and consistent outcomes in the delivery of your work as a surveyor.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Void re-servicing will be carried out with a commercial eye to a high standard, enabling our relet process to be fulfilled in accordance with our KPIs and our customer promise.
- Working closely with contractors and DLO workforce to achieve this, working collaboratively to improve quality, safety and productivity.
- All works are carried out to the required H&S legislative standards with zero tolerance to noncompliance.
- Planned works are carried out to the correct specifications and required standards in accordance with our KPI's and customer promise. Health and Safety standards are in place and maintained
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require Building Surveying Experience and ideally hold a RICS or CIOB professional registration.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Experience of property condition and dilapidation surveys and specify remedial works
- A commercial mind-set, being curious and confident to challenge spend and quality of works, keeping projects and programmes of work to be delivered on time and within budget.
- Up to date knowledge of the housing sector and the external factors that can influence or change the way we work, so we can pre-empt and prepare for change proactively.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
