Summary

Secondary SEMH Teacher Required

Location: Bradford

Position Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced secondary teacher to cover a maternity leave position until Easter half term 2025. Our school, a large SEMH institution rated Outstanding by Ofsted for behaviour, is located in the Bradford area. You will be teaching a class of nine Year 7 pupils following a primary model curriculum. This role requires resilience, consistency, tenacity, and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or PGCE with QTS.
- ECTs may be considered if they have experience teaching vulnerable, complex children with social and emotional dysregulation needs.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a track record of success with Year 7 pupils.
- Understand the needs of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and complex needs.
- Differentiate teaching methods to engage students effectively.
- Plan and assess student work.
- Attend meetings with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as required.
- Be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
- Have a current and valid DBS on the subscription service, or be willing to obtain one.
- Note: This is a full-time role, and we are unable to offer sponsorship.
