And you could be part of this ground breaking transformation!

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated clinical pharmacist to Lead our pharmacy service and develop new ways of working involving all members of the pharmacy team. You will use your clinical and prescribing skills to ensure patients receive the correct medications as close to admission as possible and ensure we Get It Right First Time. The pharmacy role in ED is well established and supported by clinicians and nurses alike.

You will work closely with the specialist nurses and clinicians within the UECC and will provide expert advice on prescribing and patient pathways. You will work alongside Care Group leads to investigate incidents and promote medication safety.

You will help to implement systems to improve flow and capacity and the safe transfer of care for patients. You will train and develop the role of pharmacy technicians and other pharmacists within the emergency department.

You must possess excellent communication skills and have strong clinical skills. We welcome interest from hospital pharmacists from all backgrounds, but you must hold a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy to Diploma level (or appropriate experience).

If you are not already a prescriber, we will provide you with the opportunity and support to train as a non-medical prescriber. There will also be opportunities to develop your leadership and teaching skills including being a Diploma tutor.

This post includes participation in working the weekend, bank holiday and on-call rotas.
