Summary
You will be required to deliver high quality diabetic care to support patients with diabetes and to undertake the general duties of a Practice Nurse and be competent to be able to offer chronic disease management to support the practice in achieving quality indicators and targets including COPD, Asthma and Heart Failure. To carry out childhood immunisations. Carry out Cytology. Competent to offer travel health , advice and vaccinations. To offer family planning and contraception advice as required. Apply infection control measures within the practice according to local and national guidelines. To maintain accurate, contemporaneous healthcare records appropriate to the consultation. Ensure evidenced-based care is delivered at the highest standards ensuring delivery of high quality patient care. Enhance own performance through Continuous Professional Development, imparting own knowledge and behaviours to meet the needs of the service.
