Summary
The post holder will: Ensure the ASC AMHP Service Provides advice and support to community and county wide teams to develop the skills, competence and confidence required to support people who experience complex mental health issues, some of whom may lack capacity in relation to aspects of their care and support needs and are liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act, or, may become so. Ensure that relevant managers and AMHPs are aware of their responsibilities in relation to the Mental Health Act, policy, practice, and procedure. Contribute to the analysis of practice and performance in relation to the application of the Mental Health Act and associated AMHP work. In partnership with the specific AMHP Service Manager, lead and maintain service improvement with regard to the application of the Mental Health Act. Build and maintain links with wider Devon County Council Practice Leads with a view to developing best practice and continuous improvement across Integrated Adult Social Care.
