Summary

We are currently working in partnership with a 2-form entry Catholic primary school in the Thatto Heath area of St Helens to recruit a dynamic and motivated Year 2 teacher from the September 2024 term on a part-time basis.

The school needs someone who can undertake and raise target grades for a Year 2 mixed class with some SEN additional needs as a job share with an existing member of staff.

Experienced teachers and ECT'S will be considered for the role, with the potential to receive ECT mentoring and support from the school.

Are you an experienced teacher who needs more control over their working hours due to personal commitments?

Are you a dynamic ECT who has a passion for KS1 and are looking for their first long-term teaching role?

Successful candidates should be able to interview quickly.

This role is for the full academic year and has arisen due to an existing member of staff reducing hours to fit around family commitments. It will be considered a job share and require you to create close working bonds with existing teaching staff. The school may be able to accommodate full-time as a split between Year 2 and PPA cover teaching for candidates who can not accommodate part-time options. They will also consider temp to perm for the right candidate after a short introduction period.

Hays can provide application and interview support to help you be successful.

You will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the year 2 curriculum, planning and delivering lessons in the run-up to the end of the academic year and identify gaps in curriculum knowledge. You will work in a friendly and warm environment and be part of a close and supportive team.
