Summary

A forward-thinking and supportive SEN school near West Bromwich, Sandwell is looking for a full-time class teacher to support children who have a variety of moderate learning difficulties.This school is looking for a full-time SEN Teacher to join their expert team on a long-term basis. The school has been described to be very supportive of its staff and provides a lot of assistance and support day-to-day. They are looking for a passionate and nurturing teacher who will lead an engaged and flexible team, supporting children with a wide range of needs at all ages.The role would be leading small classes of ages 3-19 with full planning, assessing and marking expectations. The school offers a curriculum and wraps around support for pupils that is bespoke to their needs and abilities.

Paramount is that the successful candidate is willing to work closely with parents and carers and regularly liaise with them over the progress that is being made in class.   • Have experience managing a class, designing a curriculum and working closely with SEN students
  • Be adaptable, attentive and patient
  • Be nurturing and caring in your approach
  • Be able to communicate effectively and lead a team of varying experience levels
  • Have experience of non-verbal communication. E.g. Makaton, PECS
