A Retro Games Developer is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their leadership team and play a pivotal role in raising funds and taking the business to the next level!
Your new role

  • Financial Leadership: Overseeing all aspects of the finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, cash flow management, and investor relations
  • Growth Strategy: Partnering with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute strategic financial plans that support our ambitious growth goals in the gaming landscape.
  • Fundraising Prowess: Leading fundraising initiatives to secure capital for strategic investments, acquisitions, and further development.
  • M&A Expertise: Identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities that align with our growth strategy and negotiating favourable deals.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Championing a data-driven culture, using financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making across the organisation.
  • Building a Winning Team: Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment


What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a CFO or FD in a high-growth tech, gaming or entertainment company.
  • Industry Savvy: Deep understanding of the gaming industry, its trends, and financial drivers.
  • Fundraising Acumen: Proven experience in securing funding through venture capital, debt financing, or other means.
  • M&A Expertise: Prior experience leading or participating in successful M&A transactions.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Leadership Presence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strategic Visionary: A strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and driving growth in the gaming industry
