Summary
Your new company
Hays Recruitment are currently supporting and Ofsted rated "Good" Primary and Nursery School in Ellesmere Port as they require a motivated and experience Teaching Assistant to support across Key Stage 1. This is a long-term contract that will last until the end of the academic year.
Your new role
In your new role as a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant you will be supporting across all KS1 year groups, working under the instruction of the class teacher to deliver prepared work, interventions in numeracy and literacy, and phonics sessions to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will aid in general classroom management, ensuring that all learning resources are effectively utilised and effectively monitor the behaviour of pupils and liaise with class teachers on pupil progress.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as referenceable experience working within a school, as well as:
- Previous experience working with KS1 year groups
- The ability to effectively monitor and identify pupils trigger points and/or shortfalls
- Experience delivering phonics sessions
