Summary

At Sherwood Forest Hospitals are at the beginning of our EPR journey and will be selecting suppliers during Q3 2024/25. The EPR programme will ultimately transform the future of healthcare delivery across our hospitals for the benefit of the patients we serve.

We are seeking Head of EPR Applications to join us and support our EPR journey. This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will be able to shape and support our journey whilst working closely with other departments across the Trust.

The Head of EPR Applications will report to the Deputy Chief Digital Information Officer/EPR Programme Director and will be a senior member of the EPR Programme team, working alongside the Head of Operational Change, Head of People and Head of Technical to deliver a successful EPR implementation.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an application strategy for the organisation, centred around the delivery of the EPR. You will lead the successful configuration and testing of the new EPR, migration and coordination of legacy applications, preparation for future state processes and ways of working and developing successful relationships with the system suppliers.

Working as a key member of our EPR Programme team you will drive service improvement, enhance digital maturity and lead transformational change across our hospitals to deliver successful and wide engagement with our EPR programme, ensuring that the intended benefits of the programme can be fully realised.
• Ensuring that the scope of all workstream modules and integrated areas are maintained in line with the EPR timeline and dedicated application standard operating procedures.
• Ensuring that workstreams are not developed in isolation and dependencies and workflow of the design are managed appropriately with clinical and operational leads.
• Ensuring that the EPR applications team are motivated, informed and deliver to programme milestones, managing risks and dependencies appropriately.
• Ensuring that the future state EPR delivery team meets the services of the organisation.
• Ensuring that an application strategy and roadmap is continually developed and managed proactively.
