Here at Teacheractive we are looking to register enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Assistants that are interested in supporting young adults in a college setting within Shropshire.

As a learning support assistant you will be instrumental in ensuring your students are emotionally supported during their time at college.

Some duties as a learning support assistant include:

• To greet students as they come into the College and ensure compliance with the College’s expectations as outlined in the college code of conduct.

• To circulate round the College’s social spaces and encourage considerate use of these spaces in line with the code of conduct and the College’s expectations around good student behaviour.

• To circulate round the College’s independent study spaces and encourage purposeful use of these spaces in line with the College’s expectations around good student work ethic.

• Support the College’s Intervention Procedures for out of class disciplinary issues to include recording information on ProMonitor and by giving evidence when required.

The role is absolutely perfect for anyone that has ever worked in education or support work roles where you have supported a child or young person on a one to one basis.

The colleges we work with offer an excellent working environment where the young adults are very keen to further themselves. Your role will be very important ensuring their success and providing them with that therapeutic support needed to keep the students motivated and engaged.
